Important Information Before You Apply
- Admission is at the sole discretion of the school - Not all applications may be approved
- Temporary or provisional enrolment may be granted subject to additional terms
- Signing this contract is NOT a guarantee of admission - It regulates the enrolment relationship once admitted
- Parents must commit to upholding the school's Christian values, ethos, and mission
- All fees must be paid in advance as outlined in the fee structure
Note: Alpha & Omega School is registered as a Christian independent school. By enrolling your child, you commit to supporting and respecting the school's Christian values and educational philosophy, as outlined in the official Enrollment Contract.
Fee Structure
Transparent and comprehensive breakdown of all fees
Administration Fee
When Paid: At application submission
Purpose: Covers administrative costs of processing your application
This fee is retained even if the learner does not take up the place offered
Enrolment Fee
When Paid: Upon accepting a place at the school
Purpose: Registration costs and initial contribution to development/capital costs
Payable once the learner is enrolled
Development Fee
When Paid: Upon enrolment
Purpose: Contribution to school's developmental costs and capital improvements
Forms part of school's revenue for that year
Deposit
When Paid: Upon accepting a place
Purpose: Security deposit, may be refundable or donated upon termination
Refunded without interest when learner leaves, or may be donated for Section 18A tax benefit
School Fees
Payment Options: Annual, Termly, or Monthly (11 months)
Purpose: Covers education, resources, and facilities
Monthly fees must be paid before/on the 1st of each month
Additional Fees
Includes: Books, stationery, tours, sports trips, co-curricular activities
Purpose: Special educational needs and extra goods/services
Parents notified in advance, added to school account, payable monthly
Late Payment Consequences
Fees not paid by the due date will bear interest at 2% monthly (max rate per NCA). The school may also charge default administration and collection costs, including legal fees on attorney-client scale.

Academic assessment and interview to determine grade placement and suitability
Enrolment
Sign enrollment contract, pay required fees, and begin your educational journey
Required Documents
Please prepare the following documents for your application
Learner Documents
Birth Certificate / ID Document
Certified copy of learner's birth certificate or South African ID
Previous School Reports
Latest academic reports from current/previous school (if applicable)
Medical Information
Medical history, vaccination records, special needs assessment (if applicable)
Proof of Legal Status
For non-SA citizens: valid passport, study permit, or relevant visas
Parent/Guardian Documents
ID Copies
Certified copies of both parents'/guardians' ID documents
Proof of Residence
Recent utility bill or municipal account (not older than 3 months)
Banking Details
For debit order authorization (if paying monthly)
Court Orders (if applicable)
Custody agreements, parental responsibility orders, restraining orders
Key Terms & Conditions
- Commit to upholding the school's Christian values, ethos, and mission
- Ensure timely payment of all fees in advance
- Inform school of any special educational needs before admission
- Maintain courteous, constructive relationship with school staff
- Encourage learner in studies and provide appropriate home support
- Attend meetings and keep school informed of matters affecting the learner
- Comply with all school policies and rules
- Admission and enrollment is at the sole discretion of the school
- School may grant temporary or provisional enrollment with additional conditions
- School may cancel enrollment after due process for policy violations
- School may remove learner if cannot adequately provide for special educational needs
- School may suspend or expel learner for serious misconduct or unsatisfactory behavior
- School may require parent removal of learner if parent behavior is unreasonable
- School may increase fees with 2 months' notice (parents may cancel within 7 days)
- Parents: May cancel anytime with full term's written notice, or pay full term's fees in lieu
- School: May cancel anytime with full term's written notice after due process
- Material Breach: School may terminate immediately if parents in material breach (20 days to remedy)
- Non-enrollment: If learner doesn't take up place, administration fee retained
- Contract has indefinite term for Primary/High School respectively
- Primary school enrollment does NOT guarantee automatic high school admission
- School NOT responsible for theft/loss/damage to learner's personal property unless in school's physical possession and due to gross negligence
- Parents indemnify school against claims arising from learner's enrollment (except gross negligence/willful misconduct)
- Parents consent to learner participating in supervised sports/activities (including contact sports) with inherent risk
- School takes reasonable care but not responsible for loss/injury from school activities (except gross negligence)
- School may provide references about learner to other institutions but not liable for reasonably given opinions
- School collects, stores, processes personal information for school-related purposes
- Information may be shared with other parents, staff, authorized persons as needed
- Parents may consent to use of learner images/media in school publications, website, marketing materials
- Consent valid until learner reaches age of majority
- School will NOT sell learner images to third parties
- Parents may withdraw consent in writing at any time
Parents and learners shall NOT:
- Engage in media/online communications that could harm school's reputation
- Breach school policies, ethics, mission, or values in public domain
- Disclose personal details of school employees, other parents, or learners
- Disclose confidential school information
- Raise/publicize disputes on social media before attempting resolution through proper channels
Failure to comply constitutes material breach of contract.
